Assistive Technology

Assistive technology is defined as the utilization of technology, strategies, and methods used to enable individuals to master tasks at home, school, work, increase independence, and quality of life – use of computers, toys, controls, equipment, communications, modifications, etc.

As a result of our extensive experience with various technologies within the educational marketplace, InfoCor saw the need for a mobile, interactive, ADA compliant, learning station for home and classroom use, thus the introduction of the satalight® Interactive Learning Station to the worldwide assistive technology market.

Designed for people with significant physical and/or learning disabilities, including those in wheelchairs, its ease of use and innovative design increases one-to-one student/teacher interaction. It also allows educators to engage students with physical and developmental disabilities, allowing them to become more independent. The ADA wheelchair compliant satalight® offers multi-sensory stimulation, allows for annotation and touch on an interactive whiteboard, use of a high output projector, and has the capability to incorporate additional components.
