Assistive TechnologyAssistive technology is defined as the utilization of technology, strategies, and methods used to enable individuals to master tasks at home, school, work, increase independence, and quality of life – use of computers, toys, controls, equipment, communications, modifications, etc. As a result of our extensive experience with various technologies within the educational marketplace, InfoCor saw the need for a mobile, interactive, ADA compliant, learning station for home and classroom use, thus the introduction of the satalight® Interactive Learning Station to the worldwide assistive technology market. Designed for people with significant physical and/or learning disabilities, including those in wheelchairs, its ease of use and innovative design increases one-to-one student/teacher interaction. It also allows educators to engage students with physical and developmental disabilities, allowing them to become more independent. The ADA wheelchair compliant satalight® offers multi-sensory stimulation, allows for annotation and touch on an interactive whiteboard, use of a high output projector, and has the capability to incorporate additional components.
